Cheryl’s Piano Biography

TESTIMONIALS

Margo Raube
The Simply Music approach to playing the piano has inspired our daughter to incredible heights! Instead of begging her to practice, we can't get her away from the piano. She has learned to play at a remarkable speed, and has gained confidence, not only at the keyboard, but in life in general. What began as an interest for her is now a passion!

My son just turned 7 years old and has had only 23 lessons. In this short time he has built a repertoire of over 18 wonderful songs. He is very excited to learn because Simply Music makes it very easy. It is a wonderful gift to have music filling our home everyday, and to hear him singing while playing is priceless. Not only that, but I have learned the songs along with him.

Diane Voghel
I am amazed at how this style of teaching results in such advanced playing by the student. Miss Goresko has a real love of music and an understanding way with her students, so they love it too.

Eileen Hillman
We had friends over for dinner the other night and our six-year-old daughter wowed them with her growing repertoire of songs. She had them singing and clapping along. They could not believe she has only been taking lessons for seven months. We are thrilled with Simply Music.

Jennifer Lutton
I'm so glad Devyn decided to be in the recital. I had originally thought she hadn't been playing long enough. Thanks for giving her the opportunity.

Learn PianoI started piano lessons myself at age 6 with the local neighborhood teacher and continued lessons through high school. I still enjoy taking lessons now!

In college I took a group piano class for non-music majors and my teacher suggested I major in music, which I did.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Music from the University of Pittsburgh, and took many graduate courses at Temple University.

I studied piano for several years with concert artist Sheila Paige, who is an expert in teaching the proper body mechanics of playing piano.

I continuously participate in educational programs through the Music Teachers National Association and through Simply Music.

I received national certification through the Music Teachers National Association in 1999 and was president of my local chapter for four years. I found out about Simply Music in 2002 and I’ve been teaching it ever since.

Piano is the joy of my life. I feel fortunate to be able to earn a living teaching piano and being able to pass on the gift of music to my students.
